EU allocates €1.5 bln to Ukraine in latest tranche of macro-financial aid
The EU would disburse another 1.5 billion euros to Ukraine in macro-financial assistance, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wrote on Twitter on June 2022.
She also noted that earlier, the European Commission had offered stable financial support to Ukraine until 2027.
Today we disburse another €1.5 bn for Ukraine in macro-financial assistance.
We help keep Ukraine's services and infrastructure afloat in its brave fight for freedom.
More will come. We just proposed steady financial support until 2027.
We are in it for the long haul. pic.twitter.com/FR8r1zYoAb

This year, the state budget of Ukraine has already received 9 billion euros of concessional funds from the EU.
The funds are provided on favorable terms for Ukraine and are used to finance priority state budget expenditures.
Ukraine received the first tranche of the EU's macro-financial assistance in the amount of €3 billion out of a total of €18 billion in January, the second tranche of €1.5 billion in March, and the third tranche in April.
The decision on this €18 billion aid package was made with numerous difficulties, and in mid-December, EU leaders finally reached an agreement on it.
Kyiv received the first tranche unconditionally. However, according to the agreement, Ukraine will receive the next €15 billion only if it fulfills its obligations.
