Ukrainian soldiers are successfully advancing in several directions.

The spokesperson of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andrii Kovaliov, announced this on the broadcast of the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"Not a single position has been lost where the Ukrainian soldiers are defending. The units of the Armed Forces successfully conducted offensive actions in the directions of Novodanilivka, Robotyne, Levadne, and Staromaiorske and were successful in the area of the city of Vuhledar," he noted.

According to the General Staff spokesman, as a result of the assault actions, Ukrainian soldiers are entrenched at the achieved borders.

"Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted successful offensive operations in the Stupochne district of Donetsk region, pushed the Russian invaders out of their positions," Kovaliov added.

According to him, the Russian forces have increased the number of rocket attacks in the past day. In particular, they carried out five strikes using Kh-101, Kh-555, and Kh-59 cruise missiles. They also carried out more than 50 airstrikes and carried out more than 80 attacks from rocket launching systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

Kovaliov also reported that medical institutions in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine are overcrowded. The Russian troops began to repurpose civilian medical facilities in the territory of Russia.

In the Novgorod region, the Russians converted a local hospital to treat covid into a military hospital. More than 400 Russian soldiers with various injuries are being treated there. Due to the lack of spots, they are placed in the corridors, said the spokesman of the General Staff.

As reported, Ukraine's Defense Forces, from February 24, 2022, to June 16, 2023, eliminated about 218,500 Russian invaders and 590 in the past 24 hours.
