Ukraine's western city of Lviv opens center for displaced businesses
Ukraine's western city of Lviv created the center for displaced businesses.
The Lviv City Council announced that it has started operating, so companies can set up production facilities there.
What is the problem?
The war forced thousands of Ukrainian enterprises to leave their production facilities. Many regions are under constant shelling. Russian forces destroyed many enterprises.
Since Russia's war against Ukraine began, at least 64 large and medium-sized enterprises, almost 3,000 shops, and 593 pharmacies have been damaged, destroyed, or seized. The losses to industry and enterprise assets are $13 billion.
What is the solution?
Many companies and entrepreneurs leave their homes to the safer western regions, so the new center aims to help Ukrainian businesses in the war zone and areas affected by Russian shelling and airstrikes or occupied by Russian forces relocate or rebuild themselves in the west of Ukraine.
The center is located near the NEZLAMNI rehabilitation clinic on the territory of the Saint Panteleimon Hospital of the First Medical Association of Lviv.
How does it work?
Enterprcanle to place their productions in the center on preferential terms. Companies will also be able to help the NEZLAMNI center to manufacture the necessary elements for prostheses.
The center for relocated businesses is a temporary structure with a total area of 450 square meters. Inside there will be four boxes and a staff room. The building will be leased to entrepreneurs for two years.
As the mayor of Lviv reported, from June 19 to July 19, the city council will accept applications from displaced enterprises. Details will be announced in a few days.
