Ukraine's Air Force thwarts Russian attack, downs six Kinzhal and six Kalibr missiles

According to the initial reports, Ukraine's air defense destroyed six Kinzhal missiles, six Kalibr missiles, and two UAVs.

Later, the Air Force confirmed the downed Russian aerial targets.
"At around 11:00 a.m. on June 16, the Russian occupation forces launched a missile attack on Ukraine with Kalibr cruise missiles and Kh-47 Dagger aeroballistic missiles. The direction of the attack is Kyiv region!" the statement said.
The forces and means of the Air Force in the area of responsibility of the Center Air Command destroyed all missiles. Two enemy reconnaissance UAVs of operational-tactical level were also destroyed.
As was reported by Rubryka, air defense was activated in the central Kyiv region and the capital.
The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces warned about the launch of Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea.
