Ukraine's air defense activated as Russian forces attack cities with Kalibr missiles
The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports that the Russian invaders have fired Kalibr missiles from ships in the Black Sea, and an air alert has been declared in several regions.

Initially, the authorities of Ukraine announced an air alert in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, and Vinnytsia regions in Ukraine's south and center. The sound of sirens means the threat of missile strikes and airstrikes. At this time, it is necessary to go to the shelter.
At 11:06, air raids began to sound in Poltava, Odesa, and Kyiv regions. At 11:19, sirens started to wail in Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, and Chernivtsi regions.
The anti-aircraft defense was activated in the Kyiv region and the capital, said the Kyiv City Military Administration in the Telegram app.
"Air defense is operating in the region, on the approaches to Kyiv. Stay in shelters until the air raid alarm goes off!" the statement says. Later, the administration added that the capital also activated air defense.
