Large-scale Russian attack on Kherson injures 23 civilians

The Russians launched attacks on residential areas in the city of Kherson on the afternoon of 16 June.
Local authorities reported 23 injured civilians, Ukraine's President's Office confirms.
Reportedly, the Tavriiskyi district, Korabelnyi district, and the central part of the city have been struck.
Due to the attack, a medical institution, a kindergarten, a supermarket, residential houses, cars, and electricity lines have been damaged.

Among 23 injured are three children wounded in the attack.
All people injured have been taken to hospital. Three people are in severe condition. Others received moderate or minor injuries. Many people have saved their lives by hiding in a bomb shelter.
Earlier, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported: "According to the investigation, on June 16 at around 1:00 p.m., the Russian military began massively shelling residential areas of the city of Kherson. Currently, at least six injured citizens are known. The data is being clarified."
Under the procedural leadership of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war has been initiated.
On June 15 Russian forces launched a mortar attack on the village of Zelenivka in the Kherson region. As a result, a local resident died, and another one was injured.
