Netherlands to start training Ukrainian pilots on F-16s in upcoming months

The Netherlands will begin training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets in the coming months and is working with partners to create a training center.

The Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kajsa Ollongren, announced that on Twitter.

"I informed the House of Representatives about the new support for Ukraine. We will start training on the F-16 in the coming months and are working with partners on the F-16 training center. We will also continue strengthening Ukraine's air defense," Ollongren wrote.

The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands website states that the training of Ukrainian pilots for the F-16 will begin in the coming months.

"The Netherlands and several European countries are working to start training Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 as soon as possible. At the same time, a training center is being created in one of the Eastern European countries. The Netherlands is also once again contributing to the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense," the Ministry of Defense said.

In a few weeks, Denmark and the Netherlands, in cooperation with the USA, will develop a training base for comprehensive training of Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 and other fourth-generation aircraft.
