"During the offensive operation, the troops of Ukraine's defense forces strike group advanced from 500 meters to 1 kilometer in the Berdiansk direction over the past day," Kovaliov noted.
The General Staff spokesman added that the area of the territory taken under control was up to 3 square kilometers.
In her turn, Maliar also stressed that during the past day, Ukrainian troops advanced 250 m in the direction of Bakhmut in the area of the Berkhivka Reservoir and 200 m in the direction of Toretsk.

"During the offensive, the Ukrainian troops encounter continuous minefields, combined with anti-tank ditches," Maliar said. "The occupiers are also trying to stop the advance of the defenders with constant counterattacks of their units on armored vehicles and the massive use of ATGMs and kamikaze drones."
