Ukraine's intelligence: Russian forces are preparing "terrorist attack" on chemical plant in Crimea
Russian engineering units mine the workshops of the Crimean Titan enterprise in the temporarily occupied Armeniansk in the north of the Crimean peninsula. An explosion can cause a man-made disaster.
The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense reports in a statement on the Telegram messaging app that Russia's terrorist attack on the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant led, among other things, to the lack of water in the North Crimean Canal and production processes at the Crimean Titan plant in Armiansk have been disrupted to a critical level.
"The Russians consider it impossible to resume work in a minimum proper mode. Information is circulating on the territory of the temporarily occupied Armeniansk about the potential shutdown of 'The Crimean Titan.' At the same time, engineering units of the occupying army have been raiding the enterprise's workshops, which continue to work, as well as planting explosives in the factory and the surrounding territory for the past few days," the report says.
The terrorist attack on the Crimean Titan enterprise, which the Russian invaders are preparing for, will mean an artificial man-made catastrophe, terrible in its consequences, Ukraine's intelligence said.
About 200 tons of technological ammonia are used in the Crimean Titan refrigerating equipment. In the event of an explosion at the plant, an ammonia cloud, depending on the direction of the wind, will cover the surrounding areas in half an hour.
The occupied Armeniansk, Krasnoperekop district, and the southern districts of the Kherson region will be under threat.
