Zelensky imposes new sanctions on citizens of Russia, including Russian Constitutional Court judges

On Sunday, June 11, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, issued an order to expand further existing sanctions against the Russian Federation and individuals affiliated with it. One hundred seventy-eight individuals, including the Constitutional Court of Russia judges, were added to the list.

Rubryka writes about this, referring to decree No. 321/2023, which was published on the website of the head of state.

By Presidential Decree, the implementation of the National Security and Defense Council's (NSDC) decision to impose sanctions on an additional one hundred and seventy-eight individuals was set into motion.

"Control over the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine put into effect by this decree shall be entrusted to the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine," the document emphasizes.

It should be noted that most of the persons included in the list have Russian citizenship.

Most of the sanctioned persons are Russian judges, particularly judges of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.

In addition, traitorous Ukrainian judges were included in the list. The complete list of persons against whom sanctions were imposed today can be seen in the decree.

For reference:

It should be noted that the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine continues to impose sanctions against the Russian Federation during a full-scale war.

In addition to Ukraine, sanctions against the Russians are also imposed by the United States of America, some partner countries, and the European Union. Currently, the EU is already working on the 11th package of restrictions.

President Volodymyr Zelensky recently stated the need to close loopholes for Russia that help circumvent sanctions. The head of state held a special meeting on this issue and announced the necessary steps.

"Today, I held a special meeting on sanctions. The Main Directorate of Intelligence, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the government, and the Office. They analyzed in great detail how Russia circumvents sanctions and who helps it. Different countries and different companies, without which Russia would not be able to produce the means of terror, in particular missiles.

Unfortunately, the terrorist state manages to use the technologies of the world through a network of suppliers manages to bypass international sanctions regimes.

We see every avenue of circumvention of existing sanctions, every country whose territory or jurisdiction is used by Russia to perpetuate terror. And we must close all such directions – together with our partners – so that there are no products of the free world in Russian missiles or weapons. Necessary steps will be taken," said Zelensky.

It should be noted that President Zelensky showed a poignant video of children whose lives were taken by the Russian army.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky took part in opening the Center for the Protection of Children's Rights, which will counter Russia's crimes against Ukrainian children.

And on May 29, Zelensky published a video with children running to the sound of explosions during the daytime Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian capital and thanked everyone who helped protect Ukrainians from Russian invaders.
