Kyiv sends another batch of aid to flooded Kherson region

The Kyiv region sent another batch of aid to the victims of the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric plant by Russian troops.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reports this on the Telegram messaging app.

What is the problem?

As Rubryka reported, on the night of June 6, Russian invaders blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, located a few kilometers from the temporarily occupied city of Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region.

The station cannot be restored. Rescue operations and evacuation of the population from flooded areas are ongoing on the right bank of the Kherson region. The situation is challenging in the temporarily occupied territories on the left bank, where the Russian invaders left people without help.

The Rubryka correspondent also reported that the Russians were shooting at people trying to evacuate in the flooded left-bank Kherson region.

What is the solution?

The Kyiv region sent 15 generators, five boats, 400 liters of diesel, two pumps, a heat gun, 300 food kits, hygiene kits, 2 tons of water, and medicines.

"We continue to collect everything necessary to overcome the consequences of this man-made disaster and to support people in the flooded territories. We remind you once again that 3,000 places of residence are ready in the Kyiv region for those arriving from the disaster zone. We will remind you that the UN sent humanitarian convoys to the Kherson region.

The head of the IAEA organization also announced the launch of a program to help Ukraine in connection with the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP.
