Russian forces attack Ukraine’s Kherson during evacuation of residents

The enemy shelled Kherson again during the evacuation. Three people were wounded, among them a minor girl.

The Ukrainian-made Bohun all-terrain vehicle was also damaged, local authorities report.

Under the procedural leadership of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war.

According to the investigation, on June 9, around 5:40 p.m., during evacuation measures, the Russian military fired at the regional center again.

As a result, three people were injured, including a minor girl. The shelling damaged civil infrastructure.

As a result of the enemy shelling, the equipment used by rescuers to evacuate people trapped after the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovka HPP was also damaged.

"The Bohun swamper, the Renault Trafic medical vehicle, and the medium-class Special Emergency Rescue Vehicle (САРМ-С) were shelled. Fortunately, there were no casualties among the personnel," the rescuers noted.

On June 8, Russian shelling of the Kherson region injured nine people, including two employees of the State Emergency Service, a policeman, a doctor, and a volunteer from Germany.

As of 18:00, 2,334 people had already been evacuated from the flooded zone in Kherson and its region. The left bank of the occupied region is unable to get access, as Russian forces forbid the evacuation.
