Nine people dead in dam-flooded town of Oleshky in Kherson region

The death of 9 people due to flooding was confirmed in the Kherson region, in the occupied town of Oleshky.

Oleshky city mayor Yevhen Ryschuk said this.

As Rubryka reported, on June 7, local authorities mentioned first three deaths in aftermath of the Kakhovka dam flooding.

Ryschuk explained that he communicates with local residents through Telegram, where he received a message about the death of a relative of one person, as well as information from an acquaintance about the death of two people, but the names of the victims are still unknown.

Ryschuk also reported that eight bodies were already found in Oleshky.

The mayor also said that the Russian troops fired at the school where the evacuees gathered from the roofs of the houses. At this time, there is no information about the victims or the injured there. There is also no information about missing persons, as there is currently no normal communication in the city.

Now it is too early to say that a person is missing or there is simply no contact with him. But there are a lot of questions about relatives in our Facebook groups and Telegram channels, Ryschuk said.
