An amount of $1,250,000 was raised through the United24 fundraising platform to restore the lyceum in Buzova village, located in the Kyiv region.

The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, reported that.

What is the problem?

The peaceful village of Buzova in the Kyiv-Sviatoshyn district of the Kyiv region was considered a resort and a cozy "paradise corner." However, Russian troops shelled it with heavy artillery from the end of February 2022 to the end of March.

After the occupation in the Kyiv region, a stark testimony to the devastations of war was present in Buzova. Sixty residences were demolished, and twelve village inhabitants experienced unspeakable torture and subsequent death at the hands of Russian forces. The events of Buzova secondary school were eventually brought to the international community's attention, thus reinforcing the abhorrent acts of wartime criminality committed by the Russian forces.

What is the solution?

It is noted that now 452 children will be able to return to offline education. It is known that this was the first collection of a platform to restore an educational institution.

How does it work?

"The second (collection – ed.) has already started. On August 5, Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko will host the Game4Ukraine world football star match in London. The goal is to raise funds for restoring the Mykhailo-Kotsyubinsky Lyceum in the Chernihiv region," Fedorov wrote.
