Ukrainian soldiers successfully repel 23 Russian attacks – General Staff

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the full occupation of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. During the day, the Russian invaders launched 23 attacks, but units of the defense forces of Ukraine repulsed all of them.

The General Staff of Ukraine's armed forces reported this.

Attacks of the Russian army

The enemy used Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles and Iranian Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs tonight.

According to detailed information, the forces and means of the air command, in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, destroyed 4 out of 6 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and 6 out of 8 "Shahed-136/131" attack UAVs.

During the day, the enemy launched seven rockets and 25 air strikes and carried out about 20 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.

According to the headquarters, as a result of the enemy attack, there were casualties among the civilian population, private residential buildings, educational institutions, and other civil and administrative infrastructure were damaged.

"The probability of launching missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high," the General Staff emphasized.

The situation on the front lines

• On the Volyn and Polisia fronts, the operational situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of the formation of offensive groups have been detected.
• In the Siver and Slobozhanshchyna areas, the enemy maintains a military presence in the regions bordering Ukraine. Today, the enemy's subversive intelligence group made an unsuccessful attempt to penetrate through the state border of Ukraine in the area of Zelene settlement of Kharkiv region; it also carried out a missile strike in the Vovchansk district and air strikes in the Ivashka, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche districts of Kharkiv region. The Russian invaders carried out mortar and artillery shelling of settlements in Karpovychi, Chernihiv region; Znob-Novhorodske, Shevchenkove, Brusky, Oleksandrivka, Sadky, Basivka, Hrabovske in the Sumy region, as well as Ivashki, Udy, Chervona Zoria, Hoptivka, Krasne, Zelene, Starytsa, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Vovchansk, Karaichne, Budarky and Chuhunivka in the Kharkiv region.
• During the day, the enemy conducted futile offensives near Novoselivskyi, Luhansk region, on the Kupiansk front. Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Fiholivka, Novomlynsk, Dovhenke, Kutkivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Berestov in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in the Luhansk region came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
• On the Lyman front, during the day, the enemy conducted futile offensive actions in the area of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region. Areas of settlements near the contact line of Makiivka, Nevske, and Bilohorivka of the Luhansk region and Verkhnyokamianske, Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka of the Donetsk region were hit by artillery shelling.
• On the Bakhmut front, the enemy carried out offensive actions in the Ivanovo area without success. The Russian troops carried out airstrikes in the Vasiutynske, Toretsk, and  Pivnichne of the Donetsk region. Areas of settlements of Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Khromovi, Chasiv Yar, Ivanovske, Stupochky, Predtechyne, Bila Hora, Diliivka and New York of the Donetsk region were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
• The enemy did not conduct offensive operations on the Avdiivka front. However, the Russians carried out artillery shelling of the regions of Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Karlivka settlements of the Donetsk region.

In the direction of Mariinka, the enemy carried out offensive actions in the area of the city of Mariinka. However, our defenders repelled all 16 attacks of the enemy. At the same time, the enemy launched an airstrike within the Mariinka settlement. The Russian invaders fired artillery on Hostre, Mariinka, and Pobieda settlements in the Donetsk region.

• On the Shakhtarskyi front, the enemy shelled the settlements bordering the battle line, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, and Novoukraiinka of the Donetsk region.
• The enemy continues to conduct defensive operations on the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts. The Russians carried out airstrikes on the Beryslav and Vesele districts of the Kherson region and artillery shelling of the settlements of Vilne Pole, Zelene Pole, Novopil, Temyrivka of the Donetsk region; Olhivske, Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Stepove and Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region; Kozatske, Tyahinka, Ivanivka, Dniprovske, Kizomys of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

Successes of the Ukrainian military

The Air Force of the Defense Forces struck ten airstrikes in the area of concentration of Russian personnel during the day.

In addition, the Ukrainian military destroyed one enemy reconnaissance UAV.

During the day, units of missile forces and artillery struck:

• Two areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment,
• ammunition depot,
• Two radio-electronic warfare stations of the enemy.

For reference:

Over the past day, June 3, Ukraine's armed forces eliminated about 500 invaders; since the beginning of the Russian aggression, the invaders have lost almost 210,000 soldiers.
