UN Women and Impact Force to launch educational program for resettled women in Ukraine and Poland
In Ukraine and Poland, the UN Women and Impact Force are launching an educational program for resettled women.
NV writes about this.
What is the problem?
"The full-scale invasion affected demographic indicators in Ukraine — millions of Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes. Most of them are women and children. Ukrainian women continue to create businesses and occupy leadership positions. From the beginning of 2023, every second business in Ukraine are opened by women, according to the analysis of the Opendatabot service," Valeriia Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration, notes.
Women will play a critical role in Ukraine's future recovery, innovating and ensuring economic growth in line with the UN's global sustainable development goals.
Their contribution will be even more significant if they are given the right tools to develop their enterprises and build an impact economy. Educational projects and programs in this context are critical success factors.
What is the solution?
The program will develop entrepreneurial skills, financial security, and digital literacy. The creators of the project note that it should help women find new jobs or start their own businesses.
"The Ministry of Digital Transformation supports projects that allow women to acquire digital skills and find opportunities for entrepreneurship. The new program from the UN and Impact Force is another way to help future and already active entrepreneurs learn and improve their business performance to strengthen the state's economy," emphasized Ionan.
How does it work?
Thanks to the acquired knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship and digital technologies, women will be able to start their businesses, find work or expand their professional opportunities.
Famed professionals from Ukraine and Europe who are set to partake in the six-month-long program, delivering educational lectures, and offering mentorship and consultation, have been enlisted.
Eighty selected candidates will participate in the program.

The central part of the training will consist of 10 modules and will take place online, among them:
- basics of digital marketing and branding,
- business promotion thanks to digital tools,
- sales,
- social media marketing etc.
Also, as part of the program, women will learn how to develop business strategies and integrate a sustainable model of socially responsible business. Mentors will accompany the participants and have the opportunity to listen to cases from the most prominent Ukrainian business leaders.
The educational content of the program will be added to the Diia. Business online portal for free access to the broadest possible audience, democratizing Ukrainians' access to knowledge and digital technologies.
