Three civilians killed, ten injured, including children in fourth Russian attack on Kyiv this week

By night, Russia launched this week's fourth missile attack on Ukraine's capital Kyiv. Kyiv's military administration has released information on casualties and destruction in three capital districts. 

According to updated data, the Russian rocket fire on June 1 killed three civilians, including one child. The number of injured is ten, including a child, Rubryka reports, citing Kyiv City Military Administration.

On the night of June 1, an air raid alert was announced in Kyiv and several regions. The Russian forces once again used missiles of the Iskander operational-tactical missile complex against the objects of civil and critical infrastructure of the capital and Kyiv region. Air defense was activated in the area, and explosions rang out in the capital.

"It's the first day of summer. Children's Rights Protection Day. The terrorists are launching another attack on the capital and are killing again! Ukrainian children are being killed," said Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration. 

The official stated that the aggressor likely used operational-tactical ground-based missile systems in the attack. The missiles were not launched at Kyiv from the jet. Initial reports indicate that Russia used cruise and ballistic missiles, but the Air Force will determine the final number and type of weapons.

According to preliminary data, 10 out of 10 missiles were destroyed by the forces and means of Ukraine's Air Force. Kyiv authorities report destruction and victims in two districts of the capital.

Desnianskyi district

"Three people died, including one child (born in 2012), and ten people were injured, including one child," the administration said.

Windows and doors were broken in the residential building. The blast wave blew off the balcony. Debris fell on the children's polyclinic and damaged two schools, the police station, and a kindergarten, with windows blown out by the blast wave.

Dniprovskyi district

Three were injured, and two of them were hospitalized. One of the houses in the residential sector was heavily smoked due to the falling of burning debris. The blast wave blew out the windows. 

The authorities also recorded debris falling on the administrative building, damage to parked cars, and several vehicles burned, debris

falling in the yards of residential buildings, roadways, and green areas.

Darnytskyi district

There is currently no information on the victims. The blast wave blew out the window in one of the buildings of the residential sector due to falling debris. The hot water pipeline is damaged. Falling debris damaged a non-residential building, the yards of houses, and the roadway.
