Rubryka reports, referring to the Ukrainian leader's Telegram channel.
Zelensky stressed in his speech that today and always, it is necessary to remember that all decisions are made for the sake of Europe.
"Today and every time we prepare and make decisions for the sake of our Europe, for the sake of our values, we must remember: every doubt we have here in Europe is a trench Russia will try to occupy," the Ukrainian president said.
Zelensky stressed that here in Moldova, fortunately, there are no air raid sirens or the roar of Russian artillery.
"Until very recently, the masters of Russia were, unfortunately, sure that between the evil they brought to Ukraine and the occupation of Moldova is a matter of days, a maximum of a week," Zelensky said. "Now they think the same. But we're all working, and this brings more security."
The head of state highlighted that since the start of Russia's invasion last year, the limits of security in Europe are "literally the limits of our determination with you, our ability to act together for the interests of our peoples and the whole of Europe."
"This year is for decisions. We need a clear membership invitation to Ukraine at the NATO summit in Vilnius this summer, as well as security guarantees on the way to NATO membership," he said. "A clear positive decision on our accession to the EU is needed in the autumn. We're also preparing a peace summit that will direct most of the world to implement our peace formula."
"The time has come, and doubts must disappear. We openly say that only a strong anti-aircraft defense, namely the coalition of Patriots and modern fighter jets, can defeat Russian terror," the president added.
Zelensky thanked everyone who understands that Europe must be visionary to be truly peaceful.
"Positive decisions for Ukraine will become positive decisions for everyone. A security foundation. Obviously, for Moldova. This is very important. In the long run, it will be for Georgia. I do not doubt that in time, for Belarus as well. And so for European peace. There will not be a single trench of doubt for aggression against someone in Europe," Zelensky summarized.
Background
On Thursday, June 1, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, arrived at the European summit in Chisinau.
On the first day of summer, 50 European leaders, presidents, and prime ministers gathered for a summit in the small Moldovan village of Bulboaca, located not far from the border of Russian-occupied Transnistria and only 22 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
The head of the Ukrainian state is convinced that the European integration of Ukraine and Moldova will lead to the accession of both nations to the European Union.
