Last night’s missile attack on Kyiv cost Russia up to $17 mln

Russia wasted nearly $17 million on last night's missile attack on Kyiv that killed three people.

Russia fired seven Iskander-M ballistic missiles and three Iskander-K cruise missiles on Kyiv, Military Media Center, a media platform for the Ukrainian forces, reports.

All missiles were shot down by Ukrainian air defense. One Iskander-M missile, according to media reports, costs up to $2 million, while an Iskander-K missile costs up to $1 million.

The Russian invaders spent up to US$17 million on just one night's attack on the capital.

In June 2022, Forbes estimated the cost of one Iskander missile at US$3 million.

Last night, the enemy used missiles of the Iskander operational-tactical missile complex on objects of civil and critical infrastructure of the capital and Kyiv region. The forces and means of the Air Force destroyed 10 out of 10 missiles. 3 people, including a child, died after fallen debris from Russian rockets in Kyiv.

Another 10 people, including one child, were injured.

According to the spokesman of the Air Force Command, by using exactly this type of missile, the enemy wants to take advantage of the effect of "surprise" as there are only a few minutes to hide from the Iskander launch.
