British manufacturer of fighter jets and ships may open office in Ukraine – Zelensky
The British defense company BAE Systems, which is involved in the production of fighter jets, ships and submarines, may open an office in Ukraine and later launch an enterprise.
President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote about this after a meeting with the company's management.
He noted that he discussed the localization of BAE Systems production in Ukraine and agreed on opening an office.
Later, the company may launch repair and production facilities.
"We are ready to become a large regional hub for the repair and production of various types of BAE Systems products and are interested in more global relations than those that exist now," the head of state said.
For reference:
BAE System is one of the largest defense enterprises in the world.
The company specializes in the defense and aerospace industries and information security.
BAE System is involved in the production of aircraft, defense electronics, and warships.
In particular, it is making efforts to produce F-35 Lightning II and Eurofighter Typhoon fighters, Astute-type submarines, and Queen Elizabeth-type aircraft carriers.
Also, Zelensky commented on whether he is ready to meet with Putin and the aggressor's next goal.
