Ukrainian athletes win gold at European Championship in academic rowing
Ukrainian athletes won "gold" at the European Championship in academic rowing.
The International Olympic Committee reported this on Facebook.
It is noted that the competition took place in Slovenia, namely in the city of Bled.
"Today, the national anthem of Ukraine will be heard in the Slovenian city of Bled. Our team celebrated the victory at the European rowing championship," the Olympic Committee reported.
The Ukrainian team included:
- Kateryna Dudchenko;
- Anastasia Kozhenkova;
- Natalia Dovhodko;
- Daryna Verkhohlyad.
It has been acknowledged that the Ukrainian women team won the highest category accolade in the continental championship of Varese–2012.
"This is an incredible achievement in an extremely difficult time for our country," noted one of the winners, Anastasia Kozhenkova.
