Ukraine introduces new set of sanctions against 220 Russian and Belarusian entities

President Volodymyr Zelensky introduced sanctions against more than 200 Russian and Belarusian companies, including many repair factories.

Ukraine imposed sanctions against 51 Russians, including scientists and general directors of factories.

In addition to individuals, sanctions have been extended to 220 legal entities associated with Russia.

The list includes structures within the mobile network operator MTS and Russian Railways, as well as Belarusian companies such as the Minsk Automobile Plant, the Vavilov Minsk Mechanical Plant, the Monolit Vitebsk Radio Components Plant, and the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant.

Russian plants have also been sanctioned, including the Elektrodetal Karachev Plant, the Sarapul Radio Plant, the Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant, and others.

On May 26,  Japan announced a new package of sanctions against Russia, which included 17 individuals and 85 legal entities who assist the Russians in occupying Ukraine's territories.

Also, Britain introduced new sanctions against 86 people and companies in Russia, which are connected with the Rosatom electric facility and the grain theft from Ukraine.

The US announced new export restrictions against Russia and Belarus. Now it will be prohibited to import phones, voice recorders, and household appliances into these countries.

Australia imposed new sanctions against Russia due to its war in Ukraine. In particular, the oil company Rosneft, a gold mining company, and a number of banks came under restrictions.
