Germany will soon deliver 110 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine – Ukraine's ambassador
The Federal Republic of Germany will soon hand over 110 Leopard 1A5 tanks to Kyiv.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, Oleksii Makeiev, reported this on Twitter.
"110 Leopards 1A5. Coming soon," the ambassador wrote.
The diplomat shared a photo of him with one of the tanks behind him, as well as a video from the repair center.

Makeiev did not provide any details. However, his announcement follows the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark's decision in February to transfer about 100 tanks. Later, it was reported that the country would send 80 tanks.
According to unofficial information, as EP reports, these tanks are the former Danish Leopards decommissioned in 2010 and sold back to the German manufacturer Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft, where they remain in warehouses.
Nine countries have pledged to provide Ukraine with more than 150 Leopard tanks. On April 28, it was reported that Ukrainian tankers had already started training on Leopard 1 tanks.
At the beginning of May, Denmark's Acting Minister of Defense, Troels Lund Poulsen, said that Leopard 1 tanks would be ready for deployment in Ukraine by June 1.
