Zelensky calls for summit on peace formula in July

Ukraine's president proposes to hold a peace formula summit in July, on the 500th day since the start of a full-scale war.
Volodymyr Zelensky said this while speaking on May 21 at the working session of the summit "Towards a Peaceful, Stable and Prosperous World" with the participation of the G7 countries, Ukraine, and partners, the European Pravda reports.
" Soon – there will be 500 days of full-scale war, already in July. And this is a symbolic period of time, a good month to gather a summit on the peace formula – a summit of the world majority. A summit of everyone who respects honesty and wants to end this war. I invite you to join our shared efforts," the Ukrainian leader emphasized.
The president highlighted the specifics of the peace formula, noting that each point was based on accepted United Nations resolutions and that all parties had the scope and opportunity to participate in its implementation.
It should be noted that the top diplomat of Sweden, which presides over the Council of the EU, previously reported that the ministers of foreign affairs of the EU countries at the next meeting would discuss the organization of a summit dedicated to the promotion of the "peace formula" proposed by Ukraine. Currently, there is a proposal to hold it in Copenhagen before the NATO summit.
Speaking about the purpose of the event, the interlocutor of the journalists said that this summit is being held so that there is no proposal from China, which "repeats the narratives of Russia," but "the Ukrainian point of view," which "received a platform and greater visibility in the international arena."
