Russian forces shell several towns of Ukraine's Donetsk region, killing two, injuring six civilians
Two civilians were killed, and six sustained injuries in Russian attacks on the Donetsk region.
Russian forces intensified missile attacks due to their tensions on the eastern front. The shelling targeted civilian sectors, local authorities report.
Today, the frontline towns of Avdiivka, Chasiv Yar, New York, Toretsk, and Georgiivka got under the shelling.
Russians used artillery and FAB-250 bombs to terrorize civilians.
According to the investigation, two men, aged 46 and 55, were killed in strikes on residential buildings.
Another six residents, two men and four women, sustained injuries. Doctors said they have shrapnel wounds to their heads, torsos, and limbs.
Law enforcement officers recorded damage to private houses, a multi-story apartment block, the grounds of a private firm, and several other civilian infrastructure facilities.
Donetsk region remains the epicenter of hostilities. Fierce fighting is currently ongoing in the Bakhmut area, as well as near the towns of Avdiivka and Mariinka. Cities were almost completely destroyed as a result of Russian military attacks.
The day before, on May 20, the Russians attacked the city of Toretsk from Grad MLRS, as a result of which six people, including a child, were injured.
Earlier, the Russian army launched a missile attack on Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. As a result of the attack, at least one person was killed, and another was injured.
