Zelensky meets with PMs of Great Britain, Italy, and India in Japan

In the city of Hiroshima, as part of a working visit to Japan on the sidelines of the summit of the leaders of the G7, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunak and the Prime Minister of India by Narendra Modi.

At the meeting with the Italian head of government, the parties noted the importance of continuing the dialogue between the countries on important issues of bilateral relations.

Volodymyr Zelensky and Giorgia Meloni also discussed the first results of the visit of the President of Ukraine to Italy, which took place on May 13.

During the meeting, it was about the defense and political support of our country from the side of the Italian Republic.

The president of Ukraine emphasized the need to improve the air defense capability, including training Ukrainian pilots.

The leaders coordinated positions before the participation in the summit of the G7 states.

The Ukrainian head of state also met with the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Rishi Sunak, on the sidelines of the G7 summit.

As reported, the parties discussed the further implementation of the agreements reached during the negotiations in Great Britain, which took place on May 14.

In addition, they discussed the development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Great Britain.

In addition, Zelensky met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time and held talks with him.

The G7 summit in Japan began on May 19 and will last three days. At it, the leaders of the participating countries will discuss the situation in Ukraine, nuclear disarmament, regional affairs, the world economy, and global issues such as climate change, health, and development.
