"We are coordinating positions with partners, preparing new steps" – Zelensky on his visit to G7 summit
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has said Ukraine and its partners are coordinating positions and preparing new joint steps to win the war against Russia.
He said this on the sidelines of the G7 summit and in the evening address.
Today is the first day of meetings and negotiations in Japan on the eve of the "Seven" summit.

Zelensky met with Italy's PM Giorgia Maloni and checked those agreements from the negotiations in Rome are being implemented. They had talks on strengthening the joint ability to protect life from Russian aerial terror.
Ukraine's president met with UK's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The leaders discussed bilateral relations and Ukraine's defense. He thanked Sunak for the leadership in the development of both states' capabilities in the sky, as Britain actively took up modern fighter jets for Ukraine.
Zelensky also spoke with India's Prime Minister. Serious talk, as the president said. Zelensky informed his counterpart on the UN-backed "peace formula."
Ukraine has so far presented the formula to leaders and countries from different parts of the world. The day before, the formula was successfully presented to the participants of the Arab League Summit. Zelensky pledges to involve the world in Ukraine's peace initiative.
I believe that India will participate in the restoration of the rules-based international order that all free nations clearly need. We discussed support in demining, strengthening our medicine, Zelensky said.

Presidents of Ukraine and France, Volodymyr Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron, have held a meeting in the Japanese city of Hiroshima on the sidelines of the G7 summit. Macron said during the meeting with Zelensky that the visit of the Ukrainian President is a "unique opportunity" to "express his position, convey his message and share his opinion".
Zelensky met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for the second time in a week. He thanked the German leader for the powerful defense assistance that Ukraine has received. The president noted the importance of implementing the points of the Ukrainian peace formula.
