Ukrainian NGO trains the next generation of leaders among women with disabilities
The online training program "Women Grant Station: grant education studio for women leaders of organizations of people with disabilities" will be held by the Strength of the Country national public organization.

What is the problem?
The program organizers aim to strengthen the capacity of women leaders among women with disabilities and women raising children with disabilities, to attract grant funding to implement personal development projects as public figures, and to implement socially significant initiatives of organizations for people with disabilities.
What is the solution?
The NGO Strength of the Country implements the program within the "Women Grant Station: grant education studio for women with disabilities and mothers of children with disabilities" project with the support of the Abilis Foundation. Participation in the program is free.
How does it work?
The program will last from June to August 2023 and will include:
- group work of participants with an experienced teacher with practical homework on developing their projects;
- individual consultations with professional fundraising experts during project preparation;
- pitching ideas to a team of experts to improve projects and acquire skills in presenting project proposals to donors;
- exchange of experience, mutual support, and motivation to act "equal to equal" through communications in a specially created group in Telegram, holding a final meeting of program participants for reflection and mutual support.
Women who:
- have a disability or raise children with a disability;
- are representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities: heads of organizations, project managers, and other representatives of such organizations that take an active position and wish to develop and implement projects to protect the interests of people with disabilities and their families;
- are citizens of Ukraine;
- are highly motivated to implement social projects based on organizations of people with disabilities.
Classes will be held online via ZOOM with sign language interpretation. The program of classes can be viewed upon request.
Also, upon completion of the project, the educational program participants will receive humanitarian aid: sets of necessities.
