As noted, this visit will open a new page in Ukraine's relations with the countries of Latin America and strengthen cooperation with the Global South, the head of foreign affairs noted.
"The best way to spend Europe Day… is to be on the way to Latin America to open new horizons for European Ukraine," wrote the head of the Foreign Ministry.
Kuleba added that at the invitation of the head of the Foreign Ministry of Guatemala, Mario Bucaro Flores, he will participate in the Council of Ministers of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) and make a bilateral visit.
"This trip is historic for three reasons. The first-ever visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to Guatemala. The first-ever participation in the Council of Ministers of the ACS. The first visit of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to Latin America in 10 years," the minister emphasized.
Kuleba informed that the ACS is 25 states of the Caribbean basin.
It is an essential region with significant resources. Also, the ACS is interested in Ukrainian goods, the experience of digitalization of the government, and mutually beneficial political cooperation in international organizations.
The Minister added that his visit to Latin America is part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' course to open new horizons for Ukraine, domestic businesses, and citizens.
