Ukraine's Chernihiv rebuilding its youth library that was destroyed by Russian bombing
The historic building of the youth library in the northern city of Chernihiv, which was destroyed by a Russian aerial bomb last year, is being restored.

"Chernihiv's historic library building, partially destroyed by an aerial bomb last year, is being restored," the journalist wrote.
The Chernihiv Regional Library for Youth was founded on February 1, 1978, in the historic building of the late 19th century, Tarnovsky's House. It was It offers various facilities such as a legal information center for young people, an English language club called "Languagetime," a library art center known as "LibraryArtCenter," an eco-academy, and an art studio.
On the night of March 11, 2022, during the city's siege, the library's main building suffered significant damage due to bombardment by Russian troops. Russia aircraft dropped three high-explosive 500-kilogram bombs on the library yard and the nearby stadium. A bomb that fell in the courtyard destroyed the library wall and the interior floors.
As a result, 7,000 books of the fund were lost. The building of the library art center was also damaged. The blast wave blew out its windows and doors, destroying the roof.
