Despite war, more new businesses are opening in Ukraine than closing – Opendatabot
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the number of newly registered companies in Ukraine has exceeded the number of businesses that have stopped working by 5.6 times.
Rubryka reports, citing the data by the Opendatabot platform that works with open data about Ukrainian businesses and NGOs.
Despite all the crises caused by hostilities and mass blackouts, the first year of the full-scale war did not become a record for the number of closed cases.
At the same time, in contrast to small and medium-sized businesses, the number of new companies significantly exceeded the number of closed businesses. More than 32,000 companies were registered during the full-scale invasion, and 5,728 businesses went out of business and became inactive.
As of the beginning of April 2023, 1.9 million sole proprietorships and 1.2 million companies were registered in Ukraine.
