Ukraine air force command sees “real revolution” in drone application on Ukrainian-Russian front

On the Ukrainian-Russian front, in modern conditions, drones are reaching a new level and making a real revolution.

Yurii Ihnat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on the telethon "Edyny Novyny".

Thus, he responded to the news disseminated in the Russian media regarding the purported "drone attack" in the temporarily occupied area of Crimea.

"You can see how much UAVs today are reaching a significantly new level and really making a revolution at the front. This applies to UAVs of quadcopter types and different levels – tactical, strategic, and so on. This is what needs to be developed in Ukraine today, what will provide an advantage in the future", emphasized the speaker of the Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces.

At the same time, Ihnat emphasized the need to develop not only the production of drones but also the system of combating drones. Since "the enemy does not sleep."

"Now they (the Russian Federation – ed.) have their own production of UAVs of various types, Lancets have been used a lot recently, Iranian Shahed drones. But the enemy will certainly make attempts to establish a wide production of their UAVs, in particular of the strike type," – Ihnat emphasized.
