24 Ukrainian soldiers and veterans will participate in this year's Invictus Games
This year, 24 soldiers and veterans who were injured while performing combat missions will represent Ukraine at Invictus Games in Dusseldorf.

The national selection for the Ukrainian national team for Invictus Games took place in Lviv. Two hundred twenty-three participants from all regions of Ukraine took part in it.
Athletes competed in nine disciplines:
- archery,
- athletics,
- cycling,
- powerlifting,
- indoor rowing,
- sitting volleyball
- swimming,
- table tennis,
- wheelchair basketball.
The Invictus Games is a global sporting event designed for both serving and veteran servicemen and women who have been wounded, injured, or sick. The name "Invictus" was chosen to symbolize these individuals' indomitable spirit and ability to achieve great things even after experiencing injury.
The Games were founded by UK's Prince Harry in 2014. Ukraine participated in these competitions for the first time in 2017 in Toronto (Canada). In 2022, in The Hague (Netherlands), the Ukrainian national team won 16 medals.
