Ukrainian forces eliminated 16,970 Russian troops in April
In April, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed 16,970 occupiers and 1,200 units of enemy weapons and military equipment, the deputy defense minister says.
"In April 2023, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 16,970 enemy personnel. Also, our defenders destroyed a significant amount of weapons / military equipment of the Russian troops: 84 tanks, 211 armored fighting vehicles, 238 artillery systems, 17 anti-aircraft guns, 16 air defense systems, 317 units of auto equipment, 63 units of special equipment," the statement says.
Ukrainian defenders shot down 2 enemy planes and 3 helicopters, as well as 228 UAVs and 21 cruise missiles in a month.
In the Bakhmut direction, 25,600 Russian troops with 65 tanks, 450 armored vehicles, and 56 MRLS attempt to capture the area.
"This is more than the army of the Czech Republic or Hungary," the military spokesperson Serhii Cherevatyi shared these figures.
Since Feb 24, 2022, Ukrainian forces have eliminated nearly 200,000 Russian soldiers.
