Fire breaks out at Russia's rocket systems manufacturing plant

In Russia's city of Perm, the sanctioned "Motovilikhinsky plant," which produces artillery and rocket launch systems, caught fire.
The facility fell under EU sanctions on Dec 16, 2022. for the production of weapons that are supplied to Russian forces and used in the war against Ukraine.
Several Russian channels on Telegram posted the consequences.
As emphasized by Russian rescuers, the report about the fire was received at 8:08 p.m. After arriving at the place, it was established that the transformer booth was on fire.
37 people and 10 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The previous area of the fire is 10 square meters.

"Today, a fire broke out at the transformer substation on the territory of the enterprise. The fire was promptly contained by the specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations who went to the place," the press service reported.

The facility is Russia's only manufacturer of multiple rocket launcher systems and has been in the tender process since 2018.
At the time of its introduction, the company's registered debt amounted to about 17.6 billion rubles. Mashholding's production activities are concentrated in its subsidiary structures:
"Special Design Bureau" facility is engaged in the manufacture of weapons and the rest of the products – "Motovylikha – civil engineering" LLC.
The property complex is put up for auction.
