Ukraine's digital ministry develops chatbot to assist future parents

The "I will be a mother" chatbot was launched by Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation.

It will help pregnant women find out everything about all the necessary examinations and analyses that are guaranteed by the state.

What is the solution?

"It is enough for a woman to simply note her pregnancy period in order to receive a step-by-step algorithm for free pregnancy support, medical assistance during childbirth, and neonatal services," the statement says.

How does it work?

With this chatbot, future mothers will receive the following in just a few clicks:

  • the list of necessary examinations and analyses according to the stage of pregnancy;
  • information about the nearest women's consultation or maternity hospital, where services are provided free of charge (regardless of the place of registration of the expectant mother or her actual place of residence);
  • reminders that will help protect the rights of expectant mothers to free medical services;
  • a list of "red flags" – symptoms that indicate the need to consult a doctor urgently;
  • tips on how to get together in the maternity hospital, and much more.

One can use the bot via Telegram and Viber messengers.
