Czechia and Slovakia push for Ukraine's integration with EU and NATO
On April 28, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, and the President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Čaputová, signed a joint declaration of support for Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
The document was signed during the visit of the Czech and Slovak leaders to Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.
"I am grateful to Slovakia and the Czech Republic for their assistance in facilitating the integration of our state into the European and Euro–Atlantic [blocs]. This support has been documented in the joint declaration that we have recently signed," Zelensky said at the press conference following the meeting with the presidents.
The head of the Ukrainian state also expressed gratitude to the leaders and peoples of Slovakia and the Czech Republic for the fact that "together we protect our freedom and the lives of our people."Vi

As Rubryka reported, Czech President Petr Pavel and his Slovak counterpart Zuzana Chaputova arrived in Kyiv on the morning of April 28.
Petr Pavel and Zuzana Čaputová, Presidents of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, respectively, embarked on an official trip to several Ukrainian cities in the Kyiv region, which have been affected by the war.
Pavel posted a photograph on Twitter of himself and Čaputová standing in front of a damaged house, likely in the city of Borodianka. Pavel commented that he and Čaputová are united in their shared values of freedom and justice and that it pains him to see the high cost that Ukrainians are paying for those values.
Čaputová noted that the joint visit is a sign of the improved relations between their nations.
Following the latest attacks on Ukrainian cities, including Uman and Dnipro, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives, Čaputová articulated that they cannot turn their backs. Both presidents met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other officials during the visit.
This is Pavel's first visit to Ukraine since his inauguration, with Čaputová having already paid a visit since the start of the war.
