Ukrainian BGV charity fund to hand over 10,000 baby kits to mothers

Ukrainian BGV charity fund with German and British donors and Nova Poshta postal service launches the fourth wave of donating 10,000 baby kits to mothers initiative.

Each set has specialized children's goods, including clothing (bodysuits, men's shirts, sweaters, socks), diapers, baby food, diapers, skin care products, hygiene products, toys, household chemicals, and others.

The total value of goods within the project's framework reaches more than 1 million euros.

The Nova Poshta postal service will deliver all kits to the recipient throughout Ukraine for free. 

The newborn child's family from any region and settlement in Ukraine can receive the kit. At the time of application for the kit, the child's age should not be older than two months, as all products in the set are intended for children aged 0–2 months. 

To receive a set, one needs to fill out a short online application on the fund's official website, including information about the child and one of the parents. The recipient should attach a photo or scan of the documents to the application: the child's birth certificate and the mother's ID or passport.

The application is processed within a week. If all the provided information is correct, the confirmation will be sent to email, and Nova Poshta will deliver the kit. 

Helping children is one of prioritites of our charitable foundation. During a year, the BGV Foundation implemented more than 10 initiatives to support childhood in Ukraine despite extremely difficult times. We provide assistance to families with babies both directly (for example, within the four waves of the project for newborns), and by helping large children's educational and medical institutions, including Okhmatdyt, Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center, Bucha Children's School of Arts, orphanages and maternity hospitals centers in the regions.

We don't plan on stopping. Today, together with donors, we are preparing to launch a large-scale project for schoolchildren, that will help to support online education. The entire team of our foundation welcomes every partnership and every idea that eventually turns into unique charitable initiatives, Anna Butkevich, founder of the BGV Charitable Foundation, said.

During the first three waves of the initiative, the BGV Charitable Fund and its partners have already collected and sent 30,000 kits for Ukrainian newborns and mothers with the most necessary goods. The project covered 23 regions of Ukraine. All kits were delivered to 2,469 cities, towns, and villages. Part of the aid — almost 2,000 kits for newborns — was distributed by the BGV Charitable Foundation together with the Office of the Ombudsman under a separate regional program for families with children who are in need of help today, including large families, low-income families, and IDPs.
