Slovenia has transferred 20 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine

Slovenia sent 20 Valuk AMCs to Ukraine on terms of complete secrecy, 24UR reports.

The transfer was completed this week under conditions of complete secrecy. The operation itself lasted several months, as the armored vehicles had to be prepared, serviced, and transported.

They were transported by plane to one of the neighboring countries by a C17 transport plane.

Slovenian Valuk APCs are armed with 40 mm automatic grenade launchers or 12.7 mm machine guns. There were 85 of them in the Slovenian army. APCs are designed to transport infantry and protect them from anti-personnel mines and infantry weapons with a caliber of up to 12.7 mm.

The armored personnel carrier can cover about 600 kilometers on the road and 200 to 300 kilometers off-road.

Last week Slovenia would sign an agreement with the European Defense Agency to join the project of joint procurement of artillery ammunition for Ukraine.

Slovenia plans to host a conference on international cooperation in the investigation of Russian war crimes at the end of May.
