Russia has abducted over 20,000 Ukrainian children – Zelensky

Russia kidnapped 20,000 Ukrainian children during the period of the full-scale war, Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky says during his phone talks with China's Xi Jinping.
Zelensky separately focused on the devastating consequences of Russia's war in Ukraine, mentioning the abduction of 20 thousand Ukrainian children by Russia.
At the same time, the president expressed hope for China's active participation in efforts to restore peace. He told Xi Jinping about the content of the Ukrainian peace formula and talked about the diplomatic work of organizing the Global Peace Summit.
No one wants peace more than the Ukrainian people. We are on our land and we are fighting for our future, realizing the inalienable right to self-defense.
Peace must be just and sustainable, based on the principles of international law and respect for the UN Charter. It cannot there can be no peace at the expense of territorial compromises. The territorial integrity of Ukraine must be restored within the framework of 1991, the head of the Ukrainian state said.
The parties noted the importance of efforts aimed at establishing peace.
