Pro Women UA launches online intensive course for military women, veterans, and families.
The Pro Women UA NGO is launching an online intensive for ex-combatants, military women, and members of their families.
The NGO reports this on Instagram.
What is the problem?
As a female veteran or military spouse, a person might know that the transition out of the military can be difficult. Women in the military face unique challenges after their service ends, and many of these issues can have a devastating impact on their lives.
When it comes to finding a job, female military veterans often face an uphill battle. Many employers are hesitant to hire veterans due to the perception that they don't possess the necessary skills for the job, and some may even be concerned about their mental health. Additionally, women may face a gender gap when searching for employment, as they are often underrepresented in the veteran population.
It's also important to consider the psychological impact of military service on female veterans. Women in the military often experience a great deal of stress and trauma during their service, and this can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Women veterans may also struggle with the transition to civilian life, as they are often left feeling disconnected and isolated from their former military community. For female veterans and their families, the transition out of the military can also lead to strained relationships. Military spouses often have to adjust to a new lifestyle, which can include living in a new area,
What is the solution?
The organizers state that they are devoted to aiding military women in the realization of a plan concerning a business, a public or charitable organization, a family matter, or a partnership story that they have had in their mind for a while but lack the drive and means to put it in motion.
The program is focused on current opportunities specifically for female veterans and military families so that after five days at our intensive, they have all the tools to take the first step toward their own business.
How does it work?
The project is implemented in partnership with the Ukrainian Veterans Fund.
The online intensive course will cover the following topics:
- Own business: where to find start-up capital.
- Public activity, trade, or work for hire: what to choose.
- Business strategies and market research.
- Breeze psychology: where to find a resource in difficult times.
- Validation of ideas: what did I come up with? (mastermind).
As part of the program, five online lectures will be held from May 8 to 12, 2023 (19:00-20:00).
To participate in the program, an applicant needs to fill out the Google form by May 4, 2023.
