Russian army shells public transit buses in southern city of Kherson

On Wednesday, April 19, the Russian invaders once again shelled the southern city of Kherson, hitting the city's bus fleet.

Rubryka reports, citing the report of the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, on the Telegram messaging app.

The head of the region noted that Russian aggressors continue to shell Kherson and destroy the city's infrastructure. Kherson is the port city on the Dnieper River and a regional center that was under Russian occupation from the first days of the invasion until November 2022, when the Ukrainian forces liberated the city and the right-bank part of the Kherson region. Since then, the city has been under daily artillery shelling and frequent air bombardments.

"An hour ago, the enemy hit the bus park. Vehicles were damaged," Prokudin said.

The head of the region added that, fortunately, there were no victims.

In the last 24 hours, the Russian invaders carried out 79 attacks on the Kherson region, firing 350 shells from heavy artillery and UAVs.

The head of the region reported one person dead and ten injured after the Russian shelling of the Kherson central city market.
