Overnight Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia region damaged four high-rise residential buildings and a church.
The shelling damaged civil infrastructure in many towns, Zaporizhzhia regional military administration reports.
This night, during the enemy rocket attack on the city, 4 high-rise buildings were damaged by an explosive wave – their apartment and entrance windows were blown out, the statement says.
From the very morning, utility workers of the Municipal Emergency Service "Zaporizhremservis" began to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack. By this time, the specialists had already completed all the work and closed all the broken windows (to which they had access) with OSB plates. All repair materials were used from the city reserve.
Russians have attacked towns of the Zaporizhzhia region with 101 artillery shells, local authorities said.
Civil objects in Stepnohirsk, Orihiv, Gulyaipole, Zaliznychny and 15 other settlements were destroyed, they said.
A warehouse with fuel briquettes was damaged in Komyshuvaha. Fortunately, there is no urgent need for them in the spring.
Another rocket hit near the local church. The blast wave damaged buildings and residential buildings around. Two residents were injured: the man was treated on the spot, and the woman was hospitalized, the head of the region added.
Fortunately, no one was injured in Zaporizhzhia at night. The enemy fired two rockets into the green zone in one of the city's districts: parked cars, communications, and buildings were damaged.
On April 16, during the Orthodox Easter, Russians destroyed a local church.
The missile directly hit the facility.
Luckily, there were no people inside. The building itself suffered a lot of damage, Ukrainian media Hromadske reported.
