Russians hit church in Ukraine's southern town of Nikopol, injuring two civilians
Russian forces hit a church with artillery in Ukraine's southern town of Nikopol on the day of Orthodox Easter.
The shelling hit two civilians, the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration reports.
"The Russians have once again confirmed that there is nothing sacred about them. The church in Nikopol was hit with heavy artillery. Two people were injured. A 57-year-old man is receiving outpatient treatment, a 38-year-old woman is hospitalized," the statement says.
The shelling damaged five buildings in a residential area, two cars, and several power lines.
Russian forces initiated shellings on several cities in different regions of Ukraine during Easter celebration.
The invaders destroyed a church in a southern Zaporizhzhia region, no casualties reported. Overnight attack killed two teenagers, who started celebration at night in the Mykolaiv region.
