Zelensky and Macron discuss French leader's China visit and Ukraine's front situation during phone call
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had an hour-and-a-half phone conversation with President of France Emmanuel Macron. The discussion revolved around the visit of the French head of state to China and the current situation at Ukraine's frontline.
The Ukrainian leader reported this on Telegram.
"I had a conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron for almost an hour and a half. I expressed my gratitude for France's condemning the terrible, inhumane execution of a Ukrainian soldier by Russian war criminals," the head of state emphasized in the message.
The President of Ukraine noted that he discussed the results of Macron's recent visit to China. He spoke about the situation at the front and further intentions to liberate all Ukrainian territories.
"We also discussed the preparations for the Vilnius NATO summit in July this year and its expected results, particularly regarding the need for Ukraine to obtain effective security guarantees even before our country joins the Alliance. Particular attention was paid to implementing the Ukrainian peace formula," added Zelensky.

It should be noted that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Qin Gang, stated that the country would not sell weapons to the parties involved in the war in Ukraine, and it would also regulate the export of dual civil and military goods.
At the same time, the secret documents of the Pentagon, which got into the public space, show that China approved the supply of certain lethal weapons to Russia despite the warnings of Western countries.
