Ukrainian rescuers receive pickups, mine detectors and service dogs from Howard Buffett Foundation
The Howard G. Buffett Foundation donated 12 pickup trucks, mine detectors, and service dogs to the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service.
Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations, Serhii Kruk, welcomed Buffett to Ukraine.
"The mechanized demining machines that came to us from the Buffett Foundation are already working in the Kherson region and are helping Luhansk pyrotechnicians clear the region," Kruk said.
For the needs of the pyrotechnic units. The foundation provides 12 pick-up vehicles, metal detectors, and mine-detecting dogs.
Howard Buffett, son of billionaire Warren Buffet, has donated $2.7 million to provide transportation and medical supplies for Ukraine's defense force. Howard Buffett's donation will provide nine 50-seat buses to transport Territorial Defense forces in Ukraine, getting soldiers and volunteers where they're needed and helping to move refugees out of the country. The funds will also provide hundreds of trauma kits to be sent to the front lines.
