"Offensive Guard" forms new brigade to liberate Ukraine from occupiers
Another brigade is being formed as part of the "Offensive Guard"; it will be called "Khartiia" ("Charter").
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Kateryna Pavlichenko, stated this on the telethon "Yedyny Novyny," reports Ukrinform.
"Since we saw quite a large request from the public to join these or other units ("Offensive Guards" – ed.), we have extended the opportunity to submit applications. And, in addition, we are now forming a new brigade, which will be called " Charter." It will be formed as part of the National Guard of Ukraine," said the deputy minister.
She noted that "Charter" will be the ninth brigade of the "Offensive Guard" and the seventh at the National Guard of Ukraine.
Recruitment has already started.
As reported, on February 2, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine started the formation of 8 assault brigades of the "Offensive Guard."
Active policemen, border guards, and National Guard fighters form the basis of the "Offensive Guard."
As of the end of March, the brigades were formed, but the recruitment of reserve units continued.
For reference:
For the past two months, Ukraine has been in the process of forming the "Offensive Guard," which are units that will participate in the liberation of the occupied territories. At the outset of April, a total of 35,000 applications from volunteers had been received.
