Solutions to win: Ukraine launches "Books to the Front" initiative to support military personnel on front lines
The Ministry of Culture and the non-governmental organization "Cultural Airborne Troops" presented the joint initiative "Books to the Front."
The Ministry of Culture reports this on the official website.
What is the solution?
The organizers aim to support Ukrainian defenders, allow them to relax and abstract after a stressful day of combat, and develop a culture of reading among the military.
"The "Books to the Front" project is an important initiative to support Ukrainian military personnel currently on the front lines. This is primarily a project that unites Ukrainians in the desire to help our military personnel who defend peace and freedom in Ukraine. Therefore, I invite everyone to join the project," Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy, said.
How does this solution work?
So far, the project has already been supported by the "Klub Simeynoho Dozvillia" ("Family Leisure Club"), "KM-Books" and "Moia Knyzhkova Polytsia" ('My Bookshelf") bookstore chains.
In these bookstores, a person can buy books for Ukrainian defenders, sign them, and leave them on a special shelf.
Books can be completely different.
One can also insert a greeting card into the book and add personal contacts for further correspondence.
