Russian airstrike hits Avdiivka in Donetsk region
On April 10, 2020, the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region of Ukraine was subjected to another hostile airstrike, destroying a high–rise building. Approximately 1,800 citizens remain in Avdiivka.
The head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, reported this in Telegram and published relevant photos from the shelling site.
"Russians turned Avdiivka into complete ruins. Today, the city suffered another airstrike – another high-rise building was destroyed. Fortunately, there were no casualties, as all the residents of the building evacuated in time," – wrote the head of the region.
He noted that only about 1,800 people are left in Avdiivka, and all of them risk their lives every day.
"All civilians must leave the front-line settlements – we assist with evacuation!" – Kyrylenko emphasized.
