British intelligence claims kremlin attempting to conceal unrest in occupied territories of Ukraine
The russian authorities are trying to show their citizens that they control the situation in the annexed territories of Ukraine, although most of them remain a zone of active hostilities.
Rubryka writes about this, referring to the intelligence report of the British Ministry of Defense as of April 9.
British analysts report that on April 5, 2023, the dictator of the aggressor country, vladimir putin, held a full meeting of the Security Council of russia for the first time since October 2022.
Volodymyr Kolokoltsev presented the main report at this meeting. He discussed the issue of restoration, issues of law enforcement, and public order in the illegally annexed territories of Ukraine.
"The choice of Klokoltsev as the main speaker is likely an attempt by the Kremlin to portray the situation in those territories as being normalized," the report reads.
However, in reality, most of the territories remain a zone of active hostilities and are subject to partisan attacks. Many citizens are extremely limited in access to essential services in the territories.
For reference:
In the previous summary, British intelligence reported that russia failed to destroy the unified energy system of Ukraine in the fall and winter, so this campaign was actually curtailed.
According to ISW, the kremlin continues the policy of nuclear blackmail and has a "special plan" for belarus.
Moreover, specialists of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) have collected and analyzed data that suggest that on April 8, Ukrainian and russian sources discussed the reduction of the pace of russian offensive operations along the entirety of the front line. This corroborates ISW's assessment that the russian offensive has reached its peak. Subsequently, the russian army has been actively utilizing artillery to make up for its depleted offensive capacity.
